Reimagining Washington Way - City of Longview
The City of Longview is on a mission to ensure their streets are safe, convenient, and accessible for everyone. A critical step in bringing the community vision to life is reimagining Washington Way - the main arterial street for the westside neighborhoods of Longview.
In partnership with the team at MacKay Sposito, our team is leading community engagement efforts in the design phase of the Washington Way Complete Street Project. Through a mix of digital and in-person engagement, the project team drove over 920 page views to the virtual open house and more than 45 attendees to the in-person open house; generated 148 survey responses; distributed postcard mailer to 387 residences and businesses within the project area; sent email communication to 19 key stakeholders including community organizations, churches, and schools; and visited every residence and business along the 1.6-mile stretch of the project area, leaving over 190 door hangers and engaging in 37 one-on-one conversations through door-to-door outreach.
