Envisioning the Future

Client: Astoria School District

Challenge

Astoria School District had revised their mission and vision statements to reflect a focus on equity and social and emotional learning. The District was looking to update their strategic plan to reflect those values, while also soliciting community input, resulting in an updated document that would help the District with decision making moving forward.

Solutions

The strategic planning process included Board and Administration focus groups, community engagement, steering committee facilitation, data analysis and facilitation of refined mission, vision, focus areas, goals, strategies and measurements of success for the District. Additionally, we designed a one-page strategic plan that incorporated final strategic plan elements for the District to use internally and communicate externally that was adopted by the Board.
