case study

Fourth Plain for All

Client: City of Vancouver, Parametrix

Challenge

The City of Vancouver is investing more than $25 million into central Vancouver neighborhoods along  Fourth Plain Boulevard. Through a community-led process, the Fourth Plain for All project identifies how this investment can best address long-standing economic and health disparities among central Vancouver communities made worse by pandemic-related challenges.

Solutions

Through multilingual and culturally relevant outreach, deep relationship building with equity priority communities, and inclusive engagement tactics, we successfully identified and prioritized investments that will uplift and empower central Vancouver communities. In November 2023, City Council unanimously approved the project’s plan. The implementation phase will begin in early 2024.
