Equity-Centered Strategic Planning

Client: Tigard-Tualatin School District (TTSD)

Challenge

The Tigard-Tualatin School District’s number one priority is to ensure equitable academic outcomes for every student served. The District was looking to engage their community in a comprehensive strategic planning process to identify hopes around where the District is heading and identify opportunities for the District to prioritize, all while ensuring all voices are heard and have the opportunity to provide input.

Solutions

We utilized a mix of outreach methods including affinity listening sessions, developing and facilitating an Advisory Committee, a digital survey, and community briefings and conversations. Community feedback was summarized into a report and used to inform the District’s budgeting process and create an actionable, equity-centered strategic plan.
