Empowering District Communications


Client: Willamette Education Service District (WESD)

Challenge


Willamette Education Service District serves 21 school districts with a student population of over 81,000 students (K-12). WESD sought partnership from PointNorth to help address a few challenges: developing the identity of their new Career and Technical Education (CTE) center, recruiting a transformational Communications Director, and supporting Districts with telling their story.

Solutions


We partnered with Willamette ESD to provide comprehensive communications solutions both for the ESD as well as Districts that they serve. For each solution our team met with District or ESD staff to understand their hopes and vision and reviewed existing communications materials. For communications audits, our team also conducted a District-wide survey to solicit feedback. Each solution culminated in a final report recommending branding for the CTE center, recruitment materials for an ESD Communications Director, and specific recommendations for districts to implement in their communications planning.
