Matthew Utterback

As Strategic Advisor, Matt employs his over 34 years of education and leadership to support our education clients. He has spent his career serving the educational systems in Clackamas County, Oregon, starting as a teacher and retiring as the Superintendent of North Clackamas School District. 

Matt’s background has shown time and again his ability to champion student success and strategically coordinate successful multi-million dollar levy plans, fulfilling each promise made to voters. While Principal of Clackamas High School, they were honored by US News as one of the best high schools in the country for a  coordinated vision that resulted in 90 percent of graduates pursuing post secondary education. During his time as superintendent, the district’s graduation rate jumped 22 percentage points to 88%. Matt is a fierce advocate for educational equity through the building of inclusive learning environments for each student.  His in-depth background in education, leadership, and strategic planning, confidently guides our clients towards achieving their goals.

Outside of work, you can find him spending time with his family, attending sporting events, being outdoors, and playing pickleball.
